Poon Hill-Ghorepani Helicopter tour allows you to enjoy the cultural and natural allure of the Annapurna region within a short time. While Ghorepani-Poon Hill Trek is a famous trekking expedition, you do not have to hike for days to reach the glorious hilltop. This helicopter tour takes you to the viewpoint, which sits at 3210m. It also offers majestic views of snow-clad mountains such as Machhapuchhre, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Himchuli.
The tour starts at Pokhara Airport, whereby you get on a chartered helicopter and fly northwest. Throughout the ride, you can witness dense forests, ethnic villages, and farmlands under you and the Himalayan mountains in front. You will see the settlements at Ghandruk and Ghorepani before landing at the top of Poon Hill. Notably, it is a short tour whereby you can reach Poon Hill in about 20 to 25 minutes. The entire trip starting from your hotel room can be completed in merely 2 hours.
Itinerary
At 7:30 am, a private vehicle will take us from Hotel to Pokhara Airport. After getting the boarding pass and going through airport security, we will climb onto the helicopter. The helicopter will take off at 8:00 am, and we will fly above the Poonhill Ghorepani trekking trail and pass farmlands, rivers, and ethnic villages.
We will also witness the settlement at Ghandruk and Ghorepani before landing on top of Poon Hill. After spending half an hour at the hilltop, we will get onto the helicopter and ride towards Pokhara. The whole trip will be completed by 9:30, whereby we will have returned to our hotel.
