Cycling in Pokhara is an extraordinary and fulfilling experience in the tourism capital of Nepal. Pokhara is well-known for adventure activities such as paragliding, ultralight, tours, and treks. However, cycling in and around Pokhara can also be a relaxing and enjoyable escapade for those who do it.

The cycling trip involves riding a mountain bike around Pokhara’s landmarks such as Phewa Lake, Begnas Lake, Devis Falls, Sarangkot, and Peace Pagoda. Pokhara prides itself as one of Nepal’s cleanest and greenest cities and, as such, is a perfect spot for cycling.

Mountain biking or cycling is suitable for people of all ages, and it enables you to explore the heart of the city while traveling on trails rarely used by tourists. You can also witness the village lifestyle on the outskirts of Pokhara.

You can choose between half-day and full-day cycling, which determines the number of landmarks you will visit. Please note that the mentioned price is for a full-day cycling trip which will be $40 for a half-day option. An experienced English-speaking guide will be with you at all times to show you the way and answer your queries. While we have prepared an itinerary for the cycling trip, it can also be customized according to the sites you want to visit.

Itinerary

We will begin at 6:00 a.m., whereby we gather at Lakeside and rent a mountain bike. After carefully checking the condition of the bikes, we will pick one for each. Our journey will begin from Lakeside and move eastward as we ride towards the Mountain Museum. From there, we will continue further to Bagmara and then to Lower Gangan Gauda. We will stop for breakfast in a place called Raja Chautari and continue our journey.

After 4 hours of ride, we will arrive at Begnas Lake, which is another excellent lake in Pokhara. From there, we will follow the highway to reach Lakeside. The entire trip will be completed by noon.
